On Nov. 18, two dominating teams faced off in the bantam 9-a-side Tier 1 championship in St. Paul, and the St. Paul Bengals came out on top.

The St. Paul Canadiens continue to dominate the ice, maintaining their position at the top of the North Eastern Alberta Jr. B Hockey League (NEAJBHL) standings for the regular season, following their victory at home against the Vegreville Rangers on Nov. 17. 

For the first time, Portage College raised the Métis flag at its St. Paul Campus on Nov. 16, honouring the First Nations and Métis people who fought to keep the college open over 50 years ago. 

In an effort to address a critical social issue, St. Paul Mayor Maureen Miller has signed a proclamation designating November as Family Violence Prevention Month in the Town and County of St. Paul, at the Capella Centre, Nov. 17. 

During a delegation at the Nov. 14 County of St. Paul council meeting, St. Paul Fire Chief Trevor Kotowich told council there is less interest from people to volunteer as firefighters. 

While no decision has been made, the Town of St. Paul met with representatives from the St. Paul Animal Shelter on Nov. 16 regarding an increased need for space at the shelter.

An approximately 42-megawatt (MW) solar power project by Obton Solar Canada is being proposed near Vilna. 

Senior citizens from across the Town and County of St. Paul packed the All Saints Ukrainian Cultural Centre on Wednesday at the St. Paul Regional FCSS and Family Resource Network hosted the Santa’s Seniors Festival.

St. Paul RCMP arrested a woman and are now looking for a man following a search of a residence on Nov. 3.

The St. Paul Bengals bantam football team will play for a provincial championship title on Saturday, in St. Paul.
