A serious MVC occurred on Oct. 26, and police are now looking for a semi-truck that may have lost a large heavy metal object along a road in the Smoky Lake area.

The Hometown Spaghetti supper fundraiser at Portage College served up a great meal, while also supporting the St. Paul & District Food Bank.

October is Disability Employment Awareness Month - a time to reflect on the journey of those who have defied adversity and stereotypes, achieving success in a variety of fields.

During the Oct. 12 Town of St. Paul Committee of Whole meeting, council heard about a project being proposed in Saddle Lake – the Whispering Wilderness Healing Retreat. 

Work has started on a $3.5 million renovation project at the St. Therese-St. Paul Healthcare Centre in St. Paul.

The proposed rezoning of a piece land from Urban Development District to Industrial District passed the second and third readings during the Town of St. Paul regular council meeting on Oct. 10.

Provincial government says work is being done while Alberta NDP says not enough action is being taken.

In the spirit of the season, St. Paul Family and Community Services (FCSS) and Family Resource Network (FRN) will once again be offering plenty of treats to those who stop by the St. Paul Recreation Centre on Oct. 31.

The water consumption rate with the Elk Point/St. Paul Regional Water Commission has increased. 

When speaking about a potential new school to be built in Mallaig, outside access to the library, daycare space, and gymnasium space were topics discussed by County of St. Paul council.
