As summer brings more people outdoors in the Lakeland, the risk of bear encounters increases, prompting experts to emphasize the importance of bear awareness and safety precautions.

The St. Paul RCMP have issued an alert regarding ongoing paving scams.

A $30,000 funding cut by the County of St. Paul is raising concerns among Town of St. Paul councillors, particularly regarding the impact on the St. Paul Municipal Library.

"RCMP monitored the situation until the bear left the area," said Forbes.

The past year has brought both challenges and changes to Cornerstone Co-op.

The Saddle Lake community gathered on May 31 and June 1 for the second memorial Indian Relay fun run, in honour of the late Daniel Cardinal or "Big Dan", who passed away in 2023.
