Thursday night featured plenty of rodeo action at the Clancy Richard Arena.

It’s no huge surprise to Colin and Mary Balan, who raise cattle and performance horses for barrel racing and team roping in the Hoselaw area southwest of Bonnyville, that their sons Walker, 22, and Carter, 21, will compete in the LRA finals this weekend.

It has been over 30 years since the St. Paul Agricultural Society and the Lakeland Rodeo Association (LRA) shook hands to bring the LRA Finals to St. Paul, making the annual rodeo week not only a tradition in St. Paul, but across the Lakeland. 

Ranch Rodeo once again took place in St. Paul, kicking off rodeo week in St. Paul.

On Aug. 19 and 20, the St. Paul Tennis Club, alongside the Lloydminster Tennis Association, held a junior tennis tournament for youth between the ages of 11 and 16. The tournament was held in Lloydminster on Aug. 19, and then a second portion was held in St. Paul on Aug. 20.
