Charges follow search at Saddle Lake Cree Nation residence.

Quitting was not an option for Mady Luciak, and setting a personal best as Dalton Doonanco’s greatest goal. And for both athletes, determination was their fuel to rise above expectations.

On June 12, a class of Grade 7 students from Glen Avon School took a field trip to visit the guild, hoping to learn more about sewing as part of their sewing class, and following the completion of their own sewing projects.

Grade 11 students Brennen Riopel and Kaitlyn Foote were named St. Paul Regional's Athletes of the Year.

Discussions around the Town of St. Paul's draft Animal Control Bylaw - which is a combined version of the current Dog Bylaw and Cat Bylaw - continued to take place during the June 12 council meeting.

Soccer teams from the U13 and U19 age groups took to the pitches at the Lions Soccer Fields in St. Paul over the June 16-18 weekend. The action featured athletes from Cold Lake, Bonnyville, St. Paul, Vermilion, Vegreville and beyond.

Representatives from Elemental Energy presented information on the proposed Northern Valley Wind Project to County of St. Paul council on June 13, and have said public engagement is set to begin this summer.

Amid the greenery just outside Glen Avon was a scene filled with laughter as Grade 2 students released butterflies to nature's embrace.
