Grade 12 student Logan Peters from St. Paul Regional and first-year NAIT student Logan Gratton from St. Paul clinched the bronze medals at the annual Skills Canada national competitions held in Winnipeg this year.

Terry-Lynne Nickason, the Grade 6 social teacher at Glen Avon, said it is “vitally important for students to recognize that their voice,” and their opinions matter, expressed through a vote.

‘I was a little bit disappointed in the beginning, but once we really looked into what we had accomplished, I think that we ran a really good race,” says NDP candidate Caitlyn Blake, for the Bonnyville-Cold Lake- St. Paul riding.

Boscome and St. Paul 4-H clubs show off their flock

On May 27, Mallaig School celebrated their graduating class of 2023, honouring the alumni as they move on to their next journey.

Members of the community gathered for the 2023 St. Paul Jayman BUILT MS Walk on May 28. The event brought them together, united under a common goal – to raise awareness and funding for multiple sclerosis (MS).

Promoting sportsmanship and developing skills

From June 5 to 9, St. Paul Regional FCSS will host a five-day celebration for seniors, with events planned for St. Paul, Heinsburg, Mallaig, Elk Point, and Ashmont.

Wasyl Cardinal, 21, was last seen leaving his residence in a silver Ford SUV on May 28, wearing a blue vest with no shirt underneath and a pair of sweatpants. The young man has not been seen or heard from since.

During the most recent County of St. Paul Public Works meeting on May 23, council discussed the removal of the Garner Lake boat launch due to its state of disrepair.
