The St. Paul Royal Canadian Legion raised the poppy flag on Oct. 25, marking the beginning of the annual poppy campaign.

The County of St. Paul denied several funding requests from the Lakeland Cross Country Ski Club (LCCSC) during the Public Works meeting on Oct. 22, citing budgetary constraints.

St. Paul Education introduced a $50 monthly fee for full-time kindergarten students at Ashmont School, St. Paul Elementary School (SCECS), and Glen Avon School. 

The annual Portage College fall open house took place at the Portage College Lac La Biche campus on Monday, Oct. 21.

The St. Paul Family Day Homes, a non-profit that works with and supports day homes operating in the area, has been faced with the daunting task of raising tens of thousands of dollars to repair its aging facility.
