A local principal has made some suggestions on how to improve attendance at rural schools.

The Town of Bonnyville plans to learn more about Cold Lake First Nations' future land use plan. Council discussed a letter sent by Cold Lake First Nations, outlining their plan for their lands and resources.

The Cold Lake and Bonnyville RCMP detachments will have a little extra support thanks to the MD of Bonnyville. During their council meeting on Wednesday, the MD of Bonnyville passed a motion to fund two new RCMP support staff members for the area.

A local man who has been charged with break and enter has been released from custody. On Tuesday, June 19, Lionel Rene Normand was released from the Edmonton Remand Centre regardless of the Crown's recommendation that he remain behind bars.

The City of Cold Lake is letting their photo enforcement contract fizzle out, after failing to see the results they had been hoping for. In 2016, the city contracted Global Traffic Group Ltd. to provide photo enforcement within Cold Lake.
