MD of Bonnyville Reeve Barry Kalinski is among the Canadians stranded in Haiti as the country is in a state of emergency and armed gangs have effectively taken control and shut down access to the main international airport in the capital of Port-au-Prince and commercial flights have been cancelled.

A 19-year-old Cold Lake man is facing several charges after he was found in possession of two stolen vehicles in three days. The man reportedly fled from police twice in that same time.

Bonnyville Pontiacs Luka Sukovic, Dante Siciliano, JR Ashmead, Bodee Weiss and Nicolas Beaudoin have been nominated for AJHL awards.

After securing a fourth place in the league, the Bonnyville Pontiacs will be able to rest for awhile as the bottom six teams proceeds to a play-in series from March 7 to 13.
