Healthcare workers congregated in front of the Bonnyville provincial building on Aug. 1, to raise awareness about the challenges Alberta healthcare workers are experiencing in their work and in their contract negotiations with the province. 

On Aug. 5, RCMP provided an update on their search for a missing person on Moose Lake, reporting that no one has been yet found, but a dive team had been scheduled to aid in the recovery.

BONNYVILLE - The Rolling Barrage, a cross-Canada motorcycle ride to advocate for PTSD, has rescheduled it’s Jasper tour stop to Bonnyville. The event will take place at the Shaw House on Aug.

It was another successful year at Haying in the 30's, with a large joyful crowd, an array of farm animals, and old-time displays.

Accomplished player, dedicated mentor, and experienced coach, Chad Taylor has been hired as the head coach of the U13 AAA Yaks as of Aug 1. 

Year-round, the Bonnyville & District SPCA is a non-profit organization that relies on community support to help animals in need.  

BONNYVILLE - Bonnyville RCMP are requesting the public's help to locate 63-year-old William Gary Dion. William was last seen on July 31 at West Edmonton Mall. His family is concerned for his well being.

Shortly after 1 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 4, Bonnyville RCMP reported they were on scene assisting other emergency responders with a water search and rescue on Moose Lake, off of Township Road 612 in the MD of Bonnyville.

Derek Cote is a regular competitor at the Glendon Derby and Mudbogs. Lately, he’s been spending a lot of time in his shop, preparing and building his frame-up 75 Cadillac Coupe DeVille for the upcoming event on Aug. 10.

During the July 23 MD of Bonnyville council meeting, residents from the Whispering Spruce subdivision on the northwest area of Cold Lake were denied their application for a second approach to a residential parcel, but council suggested a review of the bylaw should take place.
