The Town of Bonnyville’s regular meeting agenda was packed on Aug. 22 after council returned from summer break. Several decisions were made ranging from funding a Retail/Commercial Gap Analysis to renewing membership for a regional tourism organization.

"It's a really great program. I think it's a win-win for the community, for the town, for the businesses. So, I'm really happy that that we collaborate with Community Futures on this," says Town of Bonnyville mayor.

The 10th annual Franchere Fall Fair is set to get underway on Sept. 16 at 1p.m.

‘I wonder if those first library members imagined the library as it is today. Not just books, but computers, STEAM kits, digital resources and more. If they realized the library as an all-access pass to the world,’ says Bonnyville’s library manager.

'Bonnyville’s BBQ Bash is a smoker competition that sees teams going head-to-head to see who has the best recipes,' says the Town of Bonnyville’s events administration assistant. 

Former students who studied at Fort Kent School between 1953-56 gathered on Aug. 20 to catch up and reflect on their formative years with one of their high school teachers, Jeanine Bourgeois Tenove.

Local Lakeland co-operative organizations are hosting their annual members appreciation night and are inviting the whole community to take part in a free big-screen showing of The Super Mario Bros. Movie on Friday night at the Bonnyville Rodeo Grounds.

With the Fall Fair having something for all ages and interests at the cost of just $10 per person for those over the age of eight – the event is an affordable event for the whole community.  

One woman remains in hospital, and another has been confirmed deceased by police following an update on a serious single vehicle collision that occurred on Sunday evening in the MD of Bonnyville.
