Residents in Cold Lake may noticed an increase in CH-146 Griffon flights from 417 Combat Support Squadron as exercise "Northern Grizzly," takes place at Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Cold Lake, Jan. 26 to 28.

Once again gracing the wintry scene of Cold Lake is the much-anticipated Cold Lake and District FCSS Snow Angel Program.

On Jan. 13, 2024, Cold Lake hosted the induction ceremony for two individuals who had a positive impact on the community – one an artist, and the other a well-known soccer coach.  

Night flying training will be taking place over the City of Cold Lake starting Jan. 22 and going until Feb. 2, according to information from 4 Wing Cold Lake.

During the Jan. 9. council meeting, the Cold Lake based Kids' Time Out preschool program was at the forefront as two speakers outlined changes and funding needs for an upcoming gala fundraising event.
