The Cold Lake Marina is now open for the season.

COLD LAKE - Elaine Brisebois has been teaching clogging in Cold Lake since 2011.

The Cold Lake RCMP are asking for the public’s help in identifying those responsible for a break and entry that occurred at Panago Pizza in Cold Lake on May 16.

It was a busy few days for lacrosse players in the area, as the Ice Melter tournament was held between Bonnyville and Cold Lake, featuring both local teams and teams from across the province.

On May 8, St. Paul RCMP responded to a report of a man smashing windows of vehicles on main street with a chain.

The 6th Annual Battle of the Books was held at the Cold Lake Public Library on May 4. This annual event is a partnership between the public library and schools in the area.

A wildfire located in the he southeast section of Cold Lake First Nations 149 caused the evacuation of 40 members Thursday evening and triggered a notification for surrounding MD of Bonnyville residents to be on alert for the possibility of an evacuation order. The fire has since been extinguished.

Red Dress Day was marked with several events in Cold Lake, including speakers and performances at Hotel Dene. Families and friends also gathered along Millenium Trail to take part in a photo memorial and red dress display.

Some MD of Bonnyville residents have been put on standby and told to make "preparations" as a wildfire burns in the area.

Some residents of Cold Lake First Nations are being told to evacuate. One home has already been lost to fire, according to emergency statement.
