Two Lac La La Biche County councillors who voted to end the contract of the municipality's CAO, Shadia Amblie, say they did it because it was time for a change at the top of the administrative ladder.

The decision to end the contract of the Lac La Biche County Chief Administrative Officer was not a unanimous one.

Lac La Biche County council has voted to fire the municipal CAO. In a closed-door decision early Tuesday evening, council chose to terminate the contract of Chief Administrative Officer Shadia Amblie.

It could have stayed in place of another two weeks, but following concerns brought up by a group of local business representatives, the Mission: Main Street test is over.
