Honor roll recipients from the 2021-22 school year were recognized recently at FG Miller Jr./Sr. High School.

The wait is finally over for the the youth and parents of Iron River School. On Saturday, Oct. 1, the grand opening ribbon was cut marking a new chapter of recreation in Iron River.

The Bonnyville Health Centre is resuming its regular clinic hours for diagnostic imaging outpatients following a temporary service reduction that began at the end of August due to staffing shortages.

Over the next two weeks, squadrons from 4 Wing Cold Lake will conduct night flying training over the City of Cold Lake.

Split results came out of École Notre Dames High School's exhibition games on Thursday evening. The NDHS girls swept their opponents, winning all five sets in their match against the St. Paul Saints. Whereas, the NDHS boys' had a closer match against their St. Paul rivals, coming out on top of only two of five sets.

Station 5 Bonnyville opened it bay doors while firefighters welcomed the community in for its annual open house on Oct. 11. The event featured a special airbag demonstration with explosive results.

Spots for the highly anticipated Firemen’s Fall Ball have been swept up, but there are other ways individuals and businesses can continue to help support the annual fundraising event that supports the Village of Glendon’s fire station, pumper truck and volunteer firefighters.

Dollar dips add to fuel price hardships for motorists

A speeding vehicle was pulled over by a Bonnyville RCMP member who discovered a passenger in the vehicle was suffering from a stab wound. A 35-year-old man is now facing one count of assault causing bodily harm.

A report of a stolen truck that was equipped with GPS helped RCMP officers track down two stolen vehicles that were on the move. Working together, RCMP members from Bonnyville, Elk Point, Vermilion, and Police Dog Services were able to apprehend four suspects in relation to the thefts.
