Supporting a healthy sustainable environment is a top priority for Lac La Biche County officials. Through the Environmental Stewardship Awards, the County aims to recognize four recipients with a $500 cash prize and certificate.

Over the last two weeks, Bonnyville RCMP members have responded to several serious calls within the Town of Bonnyville – many leading to charges being laid.

Over the last two weeks, Bonnyville RCMP have attended several calls in Kehewin Cree Nation. A handful of incidents resulted in arrests and charges being filed for a range of offenses including mischief, assault, stolen property and outstanding warrants.

Bonnyville RCMP members stopped a vehicle on Highway 28 that was suspected of being connected to a shooting that occurred in Cold Lake on April 15. A man and a woman from Cold Lake were arrested and charged.

Bonnyville RCMP investigators are asking all residents from the Town of Bonnyville to submit any and all video footage they may have during a 12-hour period in order to piece together what happened in the early morning of April 17, when a Bonnyville man was shot during an alleged vehicle theft attempt.

The Lac La Biche Farmers’ Market hosted an Easter-themed party and egg hunt on the Lakeland Agricultural Society grounds on Good Friday afternoon.

In an effort to raise awareness about housing insecurity and homelessness, the Rural Development Network (RDN) and Lac Biche County’s Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) are teaming up to host community engagement sessions.

Giving back to the community by creating and supporting children’s activities in Lac La Biche County has been a large part of Andrea Ulliac’s life over the years. For the community members around her who recognize her efforts, it’s brought a sense of comfort to know there are people who are always willing to lend a hand.
