ASIRT investigating fatal officer-involved shooting

The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) has started their investigation into the officer-involved shooting that resulted in the death of a 28-year-old man who, according to a media release, was wanted on warrants and "had been previously flagged for violence toward police." According to ASIRT, a responding police dog was treated for multiple stab wounds and no other officers were injured during the confrontation.
