The St. Paul and District Food Bank is seeing increased demand this year. Larry Lambert, board chairman of the food bank, says the number of people seeking aid has increased this year by at least 100 people.

The needs and wants of the community were expressed during a series of public consultations held on Sept. 12.

Of the 200 runners expected to arrive in St. Paul for the Sept. 30 Iron Horse Ultra 100, 32 of those athletes will come from the St. Paul, Elk Point and Bonnyville areas.

While there are no laughing children splashing or people working out in the fitness centre, there is still activity happening at the St. Paul Aquatic Centre during the swimming pool's annual shutdown.

Community Awareness Night offered the chance for residents

The results of a Regional Multipurpose Leisure Centre Feasibility Study were presented to the Town of St. Paul, County of St. Paul and Town of Elk Point this week.

Over 20 players gathered for St. Paul Tennis Club’s annual Fall Classic Tournament, which took place Sept. 8 to 10. 

Roadside workers in the Lakeland weigh-in on Alberta’s new traffic legislation, Bill 5, that introduces new rules for motorists when it comes to passing roadside workers with activated flashing lights. The new law went into effect on Sept. 1.
