An extreme cold warning is in place across much of the Lakeland region on Feb. 4.

St. Paul Education board of trustees discussed options about how the 2025-26 school calendar will look like during the board of trustees meeting on Jan. 22. 

The County of St. Paul council approved funding requests from the St. Paul, Elk Point, and Mallaig Chambers of Commerce on Jan. 27. 

The County and Town of St. Paul have both passed the first reading of a proposed bylaw that aims to attract investors and developers to the St. Paul region.

The closure of Peavey Mart locations across Canada left some St. Paul residents disappointed.

Held over the weekend at the Clancy Richard Arena on Jan. 25 and 26, St. Paul Minor Hockey hosted 16 U9 hockey teams from across Alberta.

The closures and liquidation efforts will commence immediately, according to Peavey Mart. Peavey Mart locations in the Lakeland include St. Paul, Vermilion and Vegreville.

The $3.5 million renovation project at the St. Therese-St. Paul Healthcare Centre in St. Paul is close to completion.

The St. Paul Journal contacted the St. Paul Peavey Mart location for information and was told no comment could be provided.
