A network of illegal drug flow through much of the Lakeland area spanning from Cold Lake to St. Paul has been disrupted, according to RCMP.

ST. PAUL – The new director of the St. Paul Regional Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) is someone deeply embedded in the community – someone who is familiar with the challenges in the region.

The committee will not be involved with the operational aspect of local RCMP detachments but is meant to allow residents to have a voice in setting policing priorities and performance goals.

The St. Paul Trailblazers Snowmobile Club continues to maintain a snowmobile trail network encompassing a large portion of the Lakeland region.

Maintaining services amid funding challenges remained a focus for the County of St. Paul in 2024 as it did in 2023, according to Reeve Glen Ockerman. 

The lawsuit alleges Indigenous students who attended École Notre Dame in Bonnyville after the Indian Day School on Kehewin Cree Nation was shut down in 1964 were subjected to physical, psychological, and sexual abuse.

The St. Paul Registries Office will remain closed until they receive confirmation it is safe to re-open.

Parents at Glen Avon School have been informed of leadership changes at the St. Paul K-9 school.

Shortly after 3 a.m. on Jan. 22, St. Paul RCMP became involved in a pursuit of a vehicle that had been reported stolen.
