Saturday night was one filled with laughter and fun for more than 200 women who gathered at the Ashmont Agriplex for Ashmont Ladies Night Out, with all proceeds from the event going to the Ashmont Moms and Tots group.

As Laurent Brousseau was out shoveling his walk on a Friday morning, he and his wife were surprised to get an unexpected pair of hands taking the task over. The 80-year-old was scraping away when an RCMP vehicle drove by, and then doubled back.
