Thousands of fish are dead following a summer "fish kill," at Vincent Lake, which has resulted in the lake's population plummeting. Local residents noticed a higher than usual fish fatality rate, and reached out to the Journal to investigate.

While it's only been a couple of days since Haying in the 30's wrapped up its 20th annual event in Mallaig, it appears that despite some unruly weather Saturday morning, attendance and funds raised will match last year's.
