CAO Sheila Kitz set to retire

To kick-off the holiday season, the St. Paul Regional Family & Community Support Services (FCSS) invites the community to its annual Christmas Tree Lighting at the UFO Landing Pad, with events also set to take place at the nearby museum on Dec. 1 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

Disruptions in surgical services are expected at the St. Paul Healthcare Centre throughout the rest of November and at times throughout December and into early January.

The construction of St. Paul's first fire training facility is nearing completion. But, some work still needs to be done.

The St. Paul Curling Club once again transformed its ice into a hub of fun activity, as curlers of all ages came together for the annual funspiel fundraiser in support of the Haying in the 30’s Cancer Support Society, Nov. 18. 

On Nov. 18, two dominating teams faced off in the bantam 9-a-side Tier 1 championship in St. Paul, and the St. Paul Bengals came out on top.

The St. Paul Canadiens continue to dominate the ice, maintaining their position at the top of the North Eastern Alberta Jr. B Hockey League (NEAJBHL) standings for the regular season, following their victory at home against the Vegreville Rangers on Nov. 17. 

For the first time, Portage College raised the Métis flag at its St. Paul Campus on Nov. 16, honouring the First Nations and Métis people who fought to keep the college open over 50 years ago. 

In an effort to address a critical social issue, St. Paul Mayor Maureen Miller has signed a proclamation designating November as Family Violence Prevention Month in the Town and County of St. Paul, at the Capella Centre, Nov. 17.
