Social media threat leads to lockdown of BCHS
On April 7, students arriving to classes at Bonnyville Centralized High School were directed to secure areas within the building because the facility was under a ‘hold and secure’ protocol following a threat that had been made online, directed toward the school.

After years of ongoing efforts to raise funds to build a state-of-the-art facility for the Bonnyville Friendship Centre, the non-profit has received a multi-million dollar federal grant to begin construction for an addition and retrofit.
