Student Services Team Coordinator and Northern Lights teacher Marjorie Charles will move from her position at Duclos School, taking of the role of principal for Ardmore School beginning next fall.

The Bonnyville and District Chamber of Commerce has purchased a property along 50 Ave to function as the non-profit's new headquarters.

Following a delegation to MD of Bonnyville council, the municipality will conduct a feasibility study on the possibility of providing water and sewer services to the Emerald Estates subdivision. The MD will also be conducting an engineering study for a new trail that would start at Emerald Estates and join a planned Town of Bonnyville trail beginning at the C2 centre.

Last week, Bonnyville RCMP pursued a suspect on foot after noticing a truck alleged to be stolen and was also reportedly missing a licence plate.

The first Fire Advisory of the season has been announced for the MD of Bonnyville, Bonnyville Beach, Pelican Narrows and the Village of Glendon by the Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority. The advisory took effect June 2.

On Sunday, 4-H members from Beaver River Beef Club, Ardmore Beef Club and the Bonnyville Beef Club took part in a Beef Show and Sale held at Cold Lake Exhibition Park.

Bonnyville RCMP are asking the members of the public to share any information that may lead to the whereabouts of Darlene Powder. The 61-year-old woman was last seen on May 20 at her Bonnyville home.

All mill rates within the MD of Bonnyville will remain the same as previous years with the exception of the residential property tax, which has been increased from a 2.7663 mill rate to 2.9. This represents a 4.8 per cent increase in comparison to last year’s residential tax rate for MD residents. 

On Wednesday, 436 student athletes made their way to Bonnyville’s Ray Scott Athletic Park and Walsh Field to compete in the first NEASAA Track and Field Zone Championships since 2019. 

On Saturday, 84 École Notre Dame High School students walked across the stage in cap in gown at the Bonnyville and District Centennial Centre to signify their completion of their 13 years in academia.
