The recent announcement of the Alberta Government's three-year capital plan has sparked concerns among members of council for the Town of Bonnyville and the City of Cold Lake due to the absence of funding set aside for improvements to Highway 28.  

On March 10, the community came together for an event aimed at supporting those in need.  

COLD LAKE – During the last Corporate Priorities meeting, City of Cold Lake administration sought feedback and direction from council to determine the municipality’s vision and expected outcomes for water curtailment and conservation.  

City of Cold Lake council delved into a unique topic brought forward by City administration during a recent corporate priorities meeting, exploring the ceremonial use of smoked products during Indigenous events, particularly for smudging and pipe ceremonies that happen within City facilities.  

During a community skate party held on March 17, the second arena at the Energy Centre in Cold Lake was officially renamed as the Cenovus Energy Arena.

Drugs, cash, and stolen items were seized by RCMP after a search warrant was executed on two residences in Cold Lake North.

Hearts for Healthcare is requesting support from the City of Cold Lake as it gets ready for another year of fundraising.  

Owner and Operator Raymond Cowell took to the podium at Cold Lake City Hall to advocate for the continuation of Wicked Water Sports' operations on Kinosoo Beach and at the Cold Lake Marina.  

LAKELAND - A senior care backlog in Alberta, which is particularly being seen in Cold Lake and Bonnyville, has become a pressing concern for policymakers and healthcare providers.
