A portion of Elizabeth Métis Settlement was contained by RCMP on Jan. 15, after three suspects fled from RCMP members who were investigating reports of a stolen vehicle that was located in the area.

By 2023, the first phase of Imperial Oil’s Cold Lake Operations SA-SAGD expansion project is anticipated to be operational and capable of producing 15,000 barrels per day while reducing water use and greenhouse gas emissions.
