Northern Lights Public Schools expects to remain below the minimum required reserves heading into the next school year.

The five members of the graduation class had their ceremony on June 14.

The event took place at Lac La Biche's Bold Centre on June 5 and focused on protecting homes against wildfires using principles from tbe Fire Smart program.

The event took place at the Bold Centre on June 7 and featured a poultry and beef show, along with displays made by members highlighting areas such as sewing, cooking, fields crops and entomology.

Graduation events took place at the Lac La Biche campus on June 5 and 6 and featured just over 1,000 graduates from a variety of Portage College programs.

The event recognizes and celebrates student athletes at the school.

Layne Cadieux and Brooke Pruden were selected to represent the class of 2025.

Abigail Britton, a Grade 9 student at JA Williams (JAWS) High School in Lac La Biche, was one of nine recipients from across Alberta to receive the prestigious award this year.

Caspi’s stop in Lac La Biche is part of a string of shows that she will be playing during June and July, with a number of dates booked in Alberta and one in Saskatchewan.
