Fans of Portage College Voyageurs sports may have another team to root for in the not-so-distant future. 

Days after reinstating a fire restriction due to dry conditions, Lac La Biche County, following recent precipitation, has lifted this restriction. According to the Lac La Biche County social media page, fire permits will continue to be issued.

Preparations for the World Archery Field Championships are moving along well, says Rene Schaub, president of the Lakeland Archers.

Recently, a group of youths who are members of the Teen Social Club in Lac La Biche spent an evening at the Edmonton International Raceway entering the races but also meeting the drivers and get getting their autographs.

Over the past few months, contractors have been working on Phase 2 of the $7.3 million McArthur Park Revitalization Project.

The training session took place on the evening of Monday, Aug. 12 at the Bold Centre turf field.
