Two Hills RCMP Detachment Commander Sgt. David Henry received the King Charles III Coronation Medal in a ceremony on March 9. Henry was one of 19 people from the Lakeland riding to receive the honour.

Emergency medical care in the Lakeland frequently means driving to somewhere else, especially if the emergency happens overnight.

The two officers involved in a shooting on Cold Lake First Nations on Feb. 4, 2023, acted reasonably according to a report released by Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) on March 13, 2025.
