According to Nicole Garner, the communications and public relations manager for Northern Lights Public Schools, officials usually see three flybys per week across the division.

On Feb. 22, Craig Christensen competed during the Pendlerrennet in Norway. The 33-year-old, who was raised in Mallaig, works as an engineer and has called Norway his home for the past seven years. 

The event took place at the Lac La Biche Heritage Society on March 22.

City of Cold Lake council approved financial support for a team participating in the Alberta 55 plus Games in Calgary. The team will be competing from April 10-13.  

The auditorium floor gleamed like a mirror in front of a stage already set for the March 28 premiere of the 2024 Spring Dinner Theatre’s ‘Death By Chocolate.'

High school students from northeastern Alberta were at the Portage College Lac La Biche Campus on March 21 to participate in the welding, carpentry, and hairstyling competitions.

On March 19, the Cold Lake High School (CLHS) Best Buddies program received a unique and educational presentation from the school's Envi-Royals Club as part of their Shark Ambassador program.  

On March 14, retro video games and board games were on display at the Stuart MacPherson Public Library for people to view and play as part of the Remembering Vintage Toys and Games exhibit put on by the Lac La Biche Museum.

City of Cold Lake council discussed two safety-related motions at their last regular council meeting, which included traffic calming measures on 1st Avenue and a proposal to add fencing around the Kinosoo Beach playground. 

Jessie Heisler’s work as an advocate and educator for sexual violence prevention and gender justice has been recognized with a King Charles III Coronation Medal.
