Jayden Draney, a hockey player from Kikino Métis Settlement who has played high levels of the game in both Canada and the United States, says by taking part in sport, especially hockey, Indigenous youth learn life values and can also celebrate their culture.

The St. Paul Gymnastics Club had 10 athletes compete in Edmonton over the Mother's Day weekend in the club's first ever out-of-town competition.

The game between the St. Paul Storm and Lac La Biche Dodgers took place on May 14 at the Bold Centre ball diamonds.

St. Paul Soccer brought in a coach from Belfast, Ireland, through the Challenger program, to help train players on its youth soccer programs.

The annual Spring Break Up event, which is hosted by the Lac La Biche Boxing Club, took place on May 3 at Lac La Biche's Bold Centre.

The Plamondon Mustangs U18 girls' softball team handed the Lac La Biche Dodgers a 18-16 defeat during a meeting between the two teams on May 7 at the Bold Centre ball diamonds in Lac La Biche.

The 2025 Northeast Alberta Schools' Athletic Association (NEASAA) handball zone championship tournament was held in Bonnyville at the C2 field house, where boys and girls teams from Bonnyville (Notre Dame), Mallaig, Two Hills, and St. Paul competed – with both St. Paul teams taking the win in the finals.  

The golf season in St. Paul officially kicked off on April 18, and the St. Paul Golf Course has been quite busy since then.

On April 12, 25 members of Bonnyville Karate-Do won medals in various events at the 2025 Shito-Ryu Karate-Do Kyokai Karate Championships, which were held in Lloydminster.
