Hockey organizations end 2020/21 season early due to continued measures in place

"Normally, a town hall meeting would be held in a local community hall, however, due to the current state of the pandemic, this is not possible."

St. Paul Fire Chief Trevor Kotowich spoke to councils recently, asking them to send letters to the provincial government.

"ATCO informed me that there was an energized wire touching the pole, which means the pole could have also been energized. Anyone touching it, or if it should have come down, could have been met with catastrophic results."

The Town of St. Paul carried first reading of a bylaw that will allow for a long list of identification to be accepted when voting in the next municipal election.

ATCO estimates power to be back on around 9:30 p.m.
