Final preparations underway to showcase St. Paul

The Government of Alberta is spending $4.3 million to establish two new plainclothes surveillance teams led by the Alberta Sheriffs to support police in northern and southern rural Alberta.

The Town of St. Paul passed the new water and sewer service bylaw during the regular council meeting on July 7. The changes will likely see the average homeowner paying more under the new rate program which comes into effect in 2025. 

Residents in the St. Paul region are expressing concerns regarding a new updated map of Pathways Alliance’s hub distribution line showing the pipeline’s close proximity to residential properties.

RCMP are reaching out to the community in hopes of gathering information regarding a fire that destroyed a trailer being used by the Acimowin Opaspiw Society.

On July 16, the County of St. Paul declared a Level 3 Fire Ban due to ongoing heat waves.

On July 9, the Town of St. Paul held an open house at the Recreation Centre to identify the location of a proposed dog park. 

The Central Canada Cup is a Jr. B hockey tournament that pits top teams in the Jr. B. hockey leagues from across central Canada including Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, and Alberta.
