The Bonnyville Region Fire Authority signed an 18-month contract with AHS to provide EMS services to the region. While Bonnyville paramedics will see a pay raise as a result of the new agreement, several concerns remain.

A Saskatchewan man is facing charges of assault after allegedly attending a private event at a hall near Vezeau Beach just after midnight on Sept. 4.

An Ardmore woman is facing several charges after she was allegedly caught fleeing a Bonnyville business at night while in possession of break-in tools.

Books are flying off the shelf at the Bonnyville Municipal Library, not to borrow but to own. The sale that raises funds for not-for-profit municipal facility will continue during regular library hours until Oct. 3.

This year, participants from the Bonnyville area wanting to take part in a community Terry Fox Run can choose from three different dates and trails. Runs are happening along Jessie Lake’s paved trail or along the tree line, as well as at the MD of Bonnyville’s Muriel Lake Park.

Over the Labour Day long weekend, Pyrogy Park was filled with music, laughter and a massive amount of perogies. New perogy-eating champions were also named at the annual community event.

In a few hours, the former South View Motel situated on Bonnyville's Main Street was reduced to rubble.

In front of a crowd of roughly 50 people, former Finance Minister Travis Toews pitched his perspective and policies to United Conservative Party membership holders, local leaders and politically minded residents at Bonnyville’s Senior Citizens Drop-In Centre on the evening of Sept. 1. 

The Bonnyville Healthcare Centre is reducing its hours for outpatient X-ray imaging in response to staff shortages. While X-ray services are being disrupted, surgical and obstetrical services are expected to resume as normal on Sept. 7, based on current information.

Roughly 25 Northern Lights Public School students took the opportunity to 'Meet the bus' and its driver for a short bus ride around the town of Bonnyville on Aug. 31 before classes officially start.
