On May 10, organizers of the Lakeland Motorcycle Ride for Dad will be drumming up excitement for its annual charity ride with a community barbecue being held at Sick Cycles, Bonnyville.

Road reopens after a police event resulted in the temporary closure of the La Corey North Resource Road earlier this evening.

Registration for the softball season has already closed, and most team will begin practices for the upcoming 2023 softball season starting this week.

There are 42 active wildfires in Alberta as of May 2. Of those, two are considered ‘out of control’. On Tuesday, the Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority (BRFA) upgraded a Fire Advisory to a Fire Restriction for the Bonnyville area.

On Saturday, 20 team dressed up as tacky tourists descended on Glendon to see if they could 'Escape from the Village' at the Glendon Agricultural Society's third annual scavenger hunt.

For the last 13 years, the proceeds from Tim Horton’s Smile Cookies sold in the Town of Bonnyville have been directed to the Bonnyville Health Foundation. Other groups in the Lakeland also benefit from the initiative.

As of April 28, a Fire Advisory has been put into place for the MD of Bonnyville, Summer Village of Bonnyville Beach, Summer Village of Pelican Narrows and the Village of Glendon. The advisory was issued hours after Station 5 Bonnyville responded to a grass fire within the MD of Bonnyville.

A Cold Lake man was remanded in custody after being arrested for being in possession of a truck that had been stolen from a Bonnyville residence the day before. Police allegedly located a firearm and ammunition inside the stolen vehicle.

An 18-year-old Bonnyville driver was issued a Provincial Sanction for impaired driving following a single vehicle roll over that occurred earlier this week within the MD of Bonnyville. Over the last week, two other drivers, a 19-year-old and a 36-year-old, have been issued Provincial Sanctions for impaired driving and have had their vehicles impounded.
