An incident that occurred during and following a football match between the Cold Lake Fighter Jets and the Airdrie Irish on June 18 remains under investigation by the Alberta Football League. Reports of the incident vary, with all three organizations remaining quiet about exactly what transpired on the game day.

Cold Lake RCMP are asking anyone with information in relation to a fire that occurred at the Lakeland Lutheran Church in the morning of July 2, to report it to the RCMP detachment.

Cold Lake RCMP are asking for public assistance to locate Shayd Hayward of Cold Lake. The 23-year-old was reported missing on July 4.

The Cold Lake Healthcare Centre’s emergency department will be temporarily closed from 11 p.m. on July 1 until 7 a.m. on July 2.

UPDATED: An 80-year-old Saskatchewan man was located along a shoreline 2 km from where he went missing near Garnet beach by Lakeland Search and Rescue members after being missing outdoors for nearly 24 hours.

After a week of on-and-off rain, the skies cleared on June 17, which was greatly appreciated by motorcycle riders who took part in the annual Lakeland Ride for Dad.

On a sunny Saturday, more than 100 motorcycle riders came together to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer research during the Lakeland Ride for Dad.

The Cold Lake Healthcare Centre’s Emergency Department will be closed overnight on June 22 and again on June 23. Both evenings the emergency facility will be closed from 11 p.m. until 7 a.m. the next morning. The Emergency Department was also closed from Monday night to Tuesday morning this week.

Chad William Pashko, a 41-year-old of Parkland County, is wanted in connection to a shooting that injured one person on April 15, in the area of Cold Lake First Nations.
