Overnight this week, National Defence Squadrons from 4 Wing Cold Lake will conduct night flying training over the City of Cold Lake.

Members of the public and photography enthusiasts filled the hall of the Cold Lake Energy Centre to take in both the Best of Alberta Photography exhibit, as well as the soft unveiling of the MMIW RED Series, which features portraits of many local Indigenous community members.

Bonnyville RCMP members stopped a vehicle on Highway 28 that was suspected of being connected to a shooting that occurred in Cold Lake on April 15. A man and a woman from Cold Lake were arrested and charged.

On Wednesday morning, Cold Lake RCMP received a report that a yellow 1969 Pontiac GTO car had been stolen from a locked compound west of the city, off Highway 55. The theft was believed to have occurred between April 19-20.

Cold Lake RCMP are asking for the public’s help to identify a man who reportedly used a piece of metal to smash a window of a City of Cold Lake transit bus, earlier this week.

Cold Lake RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying suspects that broke into and stole several items from the Rona hardware store in the early morning of March 26.
