The Lakeland Jaguars are set to host the U18 Female B Hockey Alberta Provincial Championship in Cold Lake for a second year in a row. Last year, the Jags swept the competition and took gold in the 2022 provincial tournament.

Applications for the City of Cold Lake’s new 2023 Medical Transportation Grant are now being accepted. City residents with a ‘modest income’ travelling more than 150 kms for medical appointments can apply for the new grant.

A new City owned medical clinic could be opening in the City of Cold Lake as a council is proposing the creation of a Municipally Controlled Corporation to operate such a facility. Residents and stakeholders will have an opportunity to weigh-in on the proposal at a public hearing scheduled for Jan. 24, 2023.
