Lac La Biche RCMP are hoping to locate 31-year-old James Moores, who was last seen on April 26, in Lac La Biche.

The ball diamond at the Venice Heritage Park was built in the early 1960s and is deteriorating. Construction of a new ball diamond is set to get underway after the 2025 Venice Picnic.

The Northeast Alberta Schools Athletic Association (NEASAA) Zone championships took place on April 23, while the Lakeland Schools Athletic Association (LSAA) were held on April 24 in Lac La Biche.

The Easter event was held on the afternoon of April 19 at the Lac La Biche Mission.

The agriculture industry in Alberta not only includes large farming operations, but also small, family-run enterprises such as Little Beau Seed Co. 

Chaffic Moghrabi of Lac La Biche Sporting Goods says the business sells quite a few canisters of bear spray at this time of the year when bears are emerging from hibernation.

The price per acre of agricultural land varies depending on such factors as use and soil quality.
