High school students from northeastern Alberta were at the Portage College Lac La Biche Campus on March 21 to participate in the welding, carpentry, and hairstyling competitions.

On March 14, retro video games and board games were on display at the Stuart MacPherson Public Library for people to view and play as part of the Remembering Vintage Toys and Games exhibit put on by the Lac La Biche Museum.

Broadbent was recognized for her work with Portage College and in the community. She received the medal on March 1 from Laila Goodridge, Member of Parliament for Fort McMurray-Cold Lake.

The fourth annual Ladies Curling Bonspiel, which took place at the Lac La Biche Curling Club from March 14-15, featured 12 teams from Lac La Biche, Plamondon, Boyle, and St. Paul.

The workshop took place at the Portage College Lac La Biche Campus on March 18.

When Lac La Biche Summer Days returns this August long weekend, it will be doing so under its original name, Lac La Biche Pow Wow Days.

RCMP have provided an update following a shelter in place that was put into effect for a few hours on March 13 near Lac La Biche.

The Lakers defeated the Edson Eagles 3-2 on March 18 to advance to the National Junior Hockey League (NJHL) finals against the Crowsnest Pass Crush.

La Cabane å Sucre, which was held as part of Alberta Francophonie Month events in the Lac La Biche region, took place in Plamondon on March 15.

The event is a fundraiser for the Craigend Community Hall.
