The case to have Lac La Biche Mayor Paul Reutov disqualified from Lac La Biche County council was dismissed by the Court of King’s Bench.

Jaera Anderson, a Grade 9 student at Ecole Plamondon, received the Honouring Spirit: Indigenous Student Award for her commitment to education, volunteering in the community, and promoting her Cree heritage.

The boil water advisory was issued on May 12 and remains in effect until further notice for Beaver Lake Cree Nation residents who are connected to the main public water line.

The event was held in Lac La Biche's McArthur Park on May 3.

The 2025 Spring Trade Show and Market, which is organized by the Lac La Biche and District Chamber of Commerce, took place at the Bold Centre on May 3 and 4.

The Lac La Biche reception centre was set up on May 7 to assist evacuees from the Boyle and Athabasca County areas.
