Jayden Draney, a hockey player from Kikino Métis Settlement who has played high levels of the game in both Canada and the United States, says by taking part in sport, especially hockey, Indigenous youth learn life values and can also celebrate their culture.

Lac La Biche County Fire Rescue Services and officers with the Lac La Biche RCMP detachment responded to a vehicle fire on the morning of May 17.

The event ran from May 9-11 and featured a farmers and artisan market, talent show, and hockey tournament.

On May 10, a group of young people were at the airport to learn about flying through the Discover Aviation program.
