A new one-year pilot project that will allow Alberta tow trucks to be outfitted with blue lights alongside amber lights took effect June 30.

Working with municipalities and other post-secondary institutions, Portage College hopes to bring a degree nursing program to the Lakeland, as well as grow a handful of diploma programs into four-year degrees.

In a span of one week, Bonnyville RCMP members responded to eight business break and enters and multiple vehicle thefts. As of June 26, police look for a white Chevrolet Silverado with Alberta licence plate LKS 164.

Many of the 11 Glendon graduates who walked the stage together on June 25, had also begun their academic journey's together early in elementary. The commencement ceremony and celebration was an accumulation of all their hard work.

After sitting vacant for years, the former Midtown Motor Inn along the Town of Bonnyville’s Main Street is undergoing renovations to transform the building into an assisted living facility, following Town council’s approval to rezone the land.
