The case of a St. Paul RCMP officer facing child exploitation charges continues to move through the Court of King’s Bench, with his next appearance scheduled for August.

BONNYVILLE – The Co-op in Bonnyville held this year’s member appreciation barbecue on July 4. The free event had burgers and hot dogs on the grill, as well as ice cream and cold drinks.

Gophers are increasingly becoming a problem in the region while farmers and producers are being left to fend for themselves, according to some County of St. Paul council members. 

Construction is paused on the new McDonald’s restaurant that broke ground in Lac La Biche last month.

Work to be done over the summer months includes fencing, flooring, roofing, sprinkler system inspections, a washroom wall repair, and interior lighting upgrade.

The seniors event, which took place at Sir Winston Churchill Provincial Park on July 8, was put on through the Lac La Biche County FCSS Coffee and Connections program.
